The Federal Court ruled today that the Trump Administration breaks the law when it refuses to receive new applications from DACA.
A Maryland Federal Judge ordered the National Executive to accept new DACA applications and fully reinstate the program that protects nearly 700,000 young immigrants from deportation.
The Federal Court determined that the Government’s actions were arbitrary and capricious, therefore it must restructure the DACA protection program to its pre-September 5, 2017 status.
The Maryland Federal Court’s decision comes after the Department of Homeland Security failed to abide by the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling to restore and maintain DACA, so this court ruling would force the government to receive new applications from the “Dreamers”.
