The US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has recently informed foreigners with Nonimmigrant Visas who wish to change their immigration status, that starting on March 11 of this year, a revised form I -539 will be published, alongside a new form that will be issued, which will be called I-539A. The I-539A will refer to the supplementary information for the extension or change of status request that replaces Supplement A provided in the previous versions of Form I-539. The form I-539A can only be presented together with the I-539 form, it can not be presented as an independent form.
It is important to note that each individual included in the Primary Applicant’s form must submit a separate application and pay a biometric service fee.
Finally, the Immigration and Citizenship Service (USCIS) will reject any of the forms mentioned that lack any of the signatures or biometric service fees.
