Starting this week, ICE officers will be present at different airports throughout the country. This is happening because recent budget cuts have left many TSA officers unable to continue regular operations, and they need assistance. It is important to understand that ICE will not be conducting massive immigration enforcement or security checkpoints; they are only assisting TSA.
Important Recommendations:
- We strongly advise the immigrant community to avoid taking flights and traveling within the United States right now, especially during Spring Break.
- If you need to travel, try to avoid doing so through an airport while ICE is present.
