The short answer is NO. TPS does not directly lead the person to a permanent residency; however, it facilitates other procedures such as: Family petitions or labor petitions, as long as the person does not have unlawful stay. Several requirements must be met for the person to change status from TPS to residency.
It is recommended that you consult with a licensed U.S. Immigration Attorney to review your specific case and evaluate the conditions attached to your TPS.
