“Pending Adjudication” and the Importance of Strengthening your Asylum case #jesusreyeslaw

Does your asylum case show as “pending adjudication”? This status indicates that your application is still awaiting a decision. By itself, it does not confirm that you have an interview scheduled or guarantee approval. Do not wait until you receive an appointment notice to review your case file. Consult with your attorney about whether you need to update your statement, clarify information, or submit additional evidence supporting your application. Pay attention to the deadline: evidence must be submitted at least 14 calendar days before the interview. This does not mean you have only 14 days to update your case; it means you should prepare and submit your documents well in advance. Make sure your application clearly explains what happened to you, why you fear returning to your country, and how the evidence supports your story. Each case requires an individual assessment. We understand that waiting for an answer can cause fear and uncertainty. Preparing with legal guidance can help you move forward with greater clarity and hope.
