Key Information About TPS Work Permits for Venezuela

TPS beneficiaries are being informed about extensions to their work permits. Identify which group you belong to in order to understand your status:

Group 1:

If your permit expired on September 9, 2022, March 10, 2024, April 2, 2025, or September 10, 2025, you have an automatic extension until April 2, 2026.

Group 2:

If your permit expired on April 2, 2025, and you applied for renewal before February 5, 2025, your permit is extended by 540 days, until September 24, 2026.

Group 3:

If you obtained a permit valid through October 2026, you may continue working legally until that date.

How can you prove your work authorization?

Present your work permit to your employer (even if expired) along with the Federal Register notice.

The receipt for your renewal application (Form I-797C) is also valid.
