The future of TPS for Venezuela remains under legal debate in the United States. Following a recent decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that ruled the termination of TPS was “arbitrary,” this protection has not yet been automatically restored for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans. Attention is now focused on what the Supreme Court may decide and on the possible scenarios that could determine whether TPS continues, is terminated permanently, or whether Congress proposes a new designation for Venezuela.
