According to unofficial sources, a new decree from the Trump Administration would suspend H-1B and L-1 Visas for 90 and 180 days, in line with the Executive Order issued by the Central Administration prohibiting the entry of legal immigrants published last April, and it would aim to protect the jobs of Americans affected by the public health crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
It is important to highlight that the H-1B Visa is granted to foreign workers that belong to the high technology industry, as well as for professionals who have theoretical and technical knowledge, the list includes engineers, journalists and computer programmers, among others.
Likewise, the L Visa is granted for the international transfer of executives, managers or employees with specialized knowledge in foreign companies with a presence in the US and abroad.
