Learn the latest details about the TPS extension for Venezuela and what you must do to maintain your legal status in the U.S.

• The TPS extension is valid through October 2, 2026.

• It applies to those who registered in both 2021 and 2023.

• You may renew your TPS and apply for your work permit and travel permit.

• The re-registration period runs from January 17, 2025, to September 10, 2025.

• If your work permit has already expired, you will receive an automatic extension through April 2, 2026.

• With proof of renewal, your work authorization is extended for up to 545 days.

Please note: if you did not register before April 2, 2024, you will not be able to benefit from this extension.

We recommend exploring more permanent alternatives, since the government could appeal this decision.
