Did you know that not all immigration courts in the United States approve asylum cases at the same rate?
In this video, we explain how, according to data compiled by the TRAC organization, there are cities where the asylum approval rate is much higher than in others. For example, courts such as Sacramento and San Francisco exceed a 60% approval rate, while in cities such as Miami the average is considerably lower.
It is important to understand that you cannot choose the court where your case will be heard; this depends on where you live. However, this data helps explain why proper preparation and legal representation can make a significant difference, especially in cities where it is more difficult to win an asylum case.
Each case is different, and you should not rely solely on statistics, but rather on how your story is presented and supported before the judge.
