This week, two key initiatives were introduced to provide stability to thousands of Venezuelans in the United States:
Reintroduction of the Venezuelan Adjustment Act
On February 19, 2025, a bipartisan group of members of Congress reintroduced this bill in Congress. If passed, it would allow Venezuelans who entered before December 31, 2021, to apply for permanent residence.
Lawsuit to Protect TPS
Seven Venezuelan citizens and the National TPS Alliance sued the Trump administration in a federal court in San Francisco to reverse the cancellation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
What does this mean for you?
If the Venezuelan Adjustment Act is approved, beneficiaries could obtain permanent residence.
If the TPS lawsuit succeeds, thousands of Venezuelans could maintain their protection from removal and continue working legally.
Now is the time to stay informed and prepared!
If you are Venezuelan and want to know how these measures could benefit you, schedule a legal consultation with Attorney Jesus Reyes.
