The government is reportedly preparing a new proposal to limit access to work permits for certain immigration categories.
Who Could Be Affected?
This could affect people with an order of supervision, humanitarian parole, and deferred action. Under this proposal, the work permit would no longer be automatic for these groups. Instead, the person would have to demonstrate substantial financial need, a humanitarian reason, or an emergency that justifies employment authorization.
