Would you like to apply for political asylum or TPS, but you hold dual nationality or perhaps have residency in a third country? Do not be discouraged. There are ways you may qualify for both forms of relief for asylum purposes. It is important that you can demonstrate a fear of persecution in both countries where you are a national or hold legal immigration status.
At the same time, for TPS cases, it is important to demonstrate that returning to the third country where you have residency, or to that second or third country where you hold nationality, is not feasible for you. If you can prove this, USCIS may grant you the asylum case or, in the case of TPS, that benefit.
