{"id":6227,"date":"2020-07-23T16:01:33","date_gmt":"2020-07-23T16:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesusreyeslaw.com\/?p=6227"},"modified":"2020-10-22T18:24:37","modified_gmt":"2020-10-22T18:24:37","slug":"another-triumph-for-the-young-people-known-as-dreamers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jesusreyeslaw.com\/en\/another-triumph-for-the-young-people-known-as-dreamers\/","title":{"rendered":"Another triumph for the young people known as &#8220;Dreamers&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Federal Court ruled today that the Trump Administration breaks the law when it refuses to receive new applications from DACA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Maryland Federal Judge ordered the National Executive to accept new DACA applications and fully reinstate the program that protects nearly 700,000 young immigrants from deportation.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Federal Court determined that the Government&#8217;s actions were arbitrary and capricious, therefore it must restructure the DACA protection program to its pre-September 5, 2017 status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Maryland Federal Court&#8217;s decision comes after the Department of Homeland Security failed to abide by the U.S. Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling to restore and maintain DACA, so this court ruling would force the government to receive new applications from the &#8220;Dreamers\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Court ruled today that the Trump Administration breaks the law when it refuses to receive new applications from DACA.
