In a contrary position to the policies implemented by the Trump Administration, where victims of domestic and gang violence did not qualify to apply for asylum, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland recently instructed the Immigration Judges that they will no longer follow the regulations that hindered immigrants from applying for asylum in the U.S. for reasons of domestic or gang violence, which are two of the causes of asylum that are almost always presented to the immigrant upon arrival at the southern border of the U.S. The reversal of this prohibition could result in many immigrants having a better chance of winning their cases in Immigration Court, which could result in many immigrants having a better chance of winning their cases in Immigration Court.<\/p>\n

The annulment of these prohibitions could result in many immigrants having more chances to win their cases in Immigration Court, of course as long as they are well supported with evidence and good arguments that are necessary, and even more could open the hopes for many immigrants to reopen their cases especially those who once were rejected by the zero tolerance policies of the Trump Administration, despite having supported their case with facts and good arguments.<\/p>\n
