The Biden Administration rescinds Trump Administration Proclamation 10014 that suspended the entry of Visa Lottery Beneficiaries, Green Card applicants and Relatives of citizens and residents, and Temporary Workers.<\/p>\n

This Wednesday, February 24, President Biden rescinded Proclamation 10014 issued by then President Trump.<\/p>\n

What are the reasons that justify such suspension?<\/p>\n

Among them we can highlight that Proclamation 10014:<\/p>\n

– Does not promote US interests since it prevents US citizens and residents from joining their family members on US soil.<\/p>\n

– It harms U.S. companies that use talent from around the world, as the Proclamation poses a risk to the U.S. labor market.<\/p>\n

It stops the entry of foreigners who had obtained so-called Lottery or diversity visas, with such foreigners running the risk of losing their opportunity to fulfill their dreams in the U.S. and even more so if they were suspended, as indeed they were, from doing consular processing at U.S. embassies.<\/p>\n

It is good to note that President Biden required the Secretaries of Homeland Security and Labor to evaluate all regulations, Orders, policies and any other similar actions developed pursuant to Proclamation 10014 of the Trump Administration.<\/p>\n
